Hello, my name is Crystal Way. I am a photographer based in Southeast Michigan.
I was born and raised in Southwest Detroit and currently reside in Taylor, Michigan, with my husband and two children. One of my children is the reason I became photographer. My eldest child was born prematurely at just 24 weeks, weighing only 2 pounds and 3 ounces.
I was determined to capture every moment of her journey during the two months she spent in the hospital. I took thousands of photographs to preserve those precious memories. After being discharged from the hospital, she spent six days at home before suddenly stopping breathing and being readmitted for another two weeks due to RSV. Throughout this challenging time, I continued to take photographs of her and every family member who visited. Now, my eldest child is 19 years old and taller y than me. I continue to capture memories of her and her sibling.
This is how my passion for capturing fun and emotional moments developed.
